good game, fun to play but the computer cheats. Ever so often it will move the Q Ball.

good reponse and placement the game hasnt won yet and as the breaks go try a none standard break approach,for what it is its great and fun to play with.good trick shots I just sank a three rail awesome I wonder what the borg thought.

I like this game even though it is quite quirky. My problem is is locks up every 5 or 6 games. Takes 5-10 mmins to get out and restart my computer. MY op sys is 10.9.6

Game is well done. Only has 8-Ball mode, and general controls are pretty good. No options for adding spin on the ball, and only one difficulty you can play against the computer. Also would be nice to have 9-ball option or straight pool as well.

One of the most important aspects to playing pool is ball control, and this game offers NO option for cue ball english. If you just want to beat the balls around the table, this is your game. if you want to actually play closer to real life, keep looking. Do not install.

MIndless fun. Doesn’t take advantage of Mac’s wide screen, setting the table in vertical orientation. This seems like a no-brainer. Physics are a little “loose”. Balls roll as if they are on formica and not felt. Seem to roll much too far.

Good game but a little to easy. I am anything but a more than average pool play, however, I don’t enjoy the game as much when the computer gets some really fancy shots until the end of the game then misses a shot that even I could get. I’m not sayin that you should make it like the pro against pro but when I win the game only because the computer all of a sudden went blind, so to speak. It really takes the fun out of the game. Thank you, and I hope I made it clear as to what I’m driving at.

This might be a very nice game. I wouldn’t know… I’ve downloaded it twice and all I can do is set the cueball in position. There’s no cue stick, no instructions, no clue why it’s not working… altogether, not worth the bother of downloading. It may not like OS X 10.9, I don’t know. It definitely is not acting like it should.

Nice game but if you beat it too often it locks up. Other than that is is a fun game.

Copyright 2012, seriously took 2 years for this dummy game? Tried all Mac/iPhone/iPad version and nothing is better. Time wasters.

This game is addicting! I generally win and the app leaves more balls on the table than I do. The problem I have is that its hard for me to predict where the balls go after the cue ball hits the object ball so I often lose because I pocket the 8 ball too soon. -Its standard 8 ball -it can be run on all platforms - iPhone, iPad, MacBook - but it is very sensitive on the smaller screens. In any case, you may have to adjust the touch sensitivity to the set the direction of the cue and object balls accurately in preferences. -The balls numbers can be turned on or off -The color of balls can be changed - stripes/solid or red/yellow (I prefer red/yellow because its easy to confuse the 1 and 9 balls (yellow solid/yellow striped) -The direction of cue ball is set by by moving the ball image or the cue -The direction of the cue ball and object are shown with lines -Realistic sound (on or off) -The color and contrast of the table can be set to several variations to suit you. The settings for numbers and colors of the balls should be set before your first shot or you can lose track of the balls to easily. As you play the one player game the app is better at long shots than I am. As the game progresses, the app becomes more wiley at hiding the cue ball so you cant hit any balls legally. Actually, this is to my advantage because the app spends more positioning the cue ball than pocketing balls! My only quibble is that it does not keep some sort of running score. I have a spread sheet the tracks the # of games, # of wins/loses, # of my balls and app balls left on the table, net balls (mine left on the table - apps ball left on the table) and how many time I pocket the 8 ball too soon and lose.

This game used to work perfectly, but now it just freezes.

Pool! has been hands down my favorite video game. Graphics are smooth, no jitters, accurate shooting… I’m very critical of the games I try but I’ve got nothing negative to say about Pool! Great job team! —The Savage

What happeneed to the sound of 1 ball touching another? Wheres the sound to this? Thanks

I enjoy the game… However there are a few things I would like to see that could improve the game play immensely. First I would love to be able to put english on the cue to avoid an obvious scratch on some shots. Second, I have a played enough times to have gotten a few 8 ball breaks. This should mean a win for me. Instead I have to shoot again and get a loss regardless of whether I sink a ball or not. I will still play the game but for me it would be more fun with a fix for these issues. I rate it four out of five and think it could be a five out of five.

You know what I love this game, but I’ve played it too much to notice some flaws that I would love to point out. Firstly, there should be a level of toughness option, because the AI is just not programmed to win or be competitive. If you do a couple of bad shots, the AI just starts to play really bad, hitting stupid shots and stuff. Try scoring all the shots for the AI and it will start play really bad. And I noticed when the AI has a chance to win sometimes, they just blow it, doing something stupid. Please put a hardness setting to it, would love to play a tougher opponent. but overall this game is great to pass time, thanks for making it!

AI is stupidly easy…..

Okay, so my first thought was "this game is awesome!" Alright, something else. I dont know much about pool, but I know enough to know that the game is cheating a little. How do i know? well, i know that if you get the black ball into a pocket before all the other balls are in the pockets, you lose. But the computer got the black ball in the pocket and at least 5 balls were remaining, yet the computer won. (The computers name is player 2, so thats what well call it) Another thing. I know that if you shoot a ball into a pocket, you get an extra turn well it seems as if every time i get a ball in a pocket, I dont get another turn. Yet when player 2 gets a ball into a pocket, it gets at least 3 extra turns. i dont get it. Would I recommend this game? Maybe. Is this game fun and addictive, besides all the cheating? Absoloutly. Am i going to keep this game? Yes, or at least until the cheating gets annoying. Thanks for reading my review. (Oh, one last thing: I wish there was a "help" button to this game, because i had to look up how to play pool on the internet in order to win the game.)
