Freezes every once in a while during break

It’s a nice little game, but it freezes every once in a while.

At first I thought it was the fault of my old mid-2007 MacBook (Lion), but last week I got a 2015 MacBook Air (El Capitan) and redownloaded the game from my App Store account. Seems the problem still exists. But a Force-Quit solves it every time...
